The Atlanta New Earth Festival welcomes a wide variety of quality craft, commercial, and food vendors. This is always a fun event with a lot of people. HCEM has had a tent at this event for several years. We will have a tent with tables for HCEM, CERT, and RACES.
RACES will have their Morse Code displays for people to learn to send their initials. At this event, more than most of our other events, there tend to be many people interested in Ham Radio, or who have their license and haven’t been on the radio for years. It’s an excellent chance to talk to them about what we do.
CERT will have a game set up with prizes and questions for the kids. There are a lot of families who attend this event, so there are usually a lot of kids who want to play the games. This is a great chance to talk to them about safety and preparedness while they try to win a prize.
We usually park at the Fire Station at 100 W. Kauffman. It is about a 5-6 block walk from the Fire Station to our booth. We have the ATV and are more than happy to come pick you up and give you a ride to our booth. Please arrive about 15 minutes early so there’s plenty of time to get there and back. Call Monica when you arrive and she’ll make arrangements for you to get a ride.
