There are two issues that the ARRL would like all Hams to respond to ASAP.

o On 60 meters, there is a call for reducing the power limit to 15 watts.

o On all HF ham bands, The Wall Street Financials want to purchase frequencies next to
the HF Ham bands. They want to set up 10,000-watt stations with directional antennas.
The effective radiated power would be in the tens of thousands of watts. The splatter
essentially would remove DX from the HF bands. They want to do this to get faster
money transfer speeds at a reasonable cost.

o ARRL would like immediate response from all Hams. Send comments too
WWW.ARRL.org/60-meter-band.

 The 10 meter band is now hopping now. The 10-10 club would be a great place to join. Great for
DX and getting QSL cards. Right now, is the best time to join because the solar cycle is good.
 Election of Officers – The Club approved the nominations of the following officers.
o President – Matt Weber, KD9WFK
o Vice President – Dallas Milem, N9DAM
o Treasurer – Paul Beihold, KA9SDQ
o Secretary – Ron Sans, WA4EZF

 Christmas Party – December 2 nd
o Setup will be at 10:30 AM at the Lodge in Forest Park
o This is a potluck pit-in
o Monica Peterson, N9MRP, will be asked to setup SignUpGenius for the event.
 Winter Field Day – January 27th
o The location will be at Osprey Pointe Pavilion – This needs to be confirmed with Monica.
