The W9IRA repeater that hosts the Marion County ARES Net on Wednesdays at 7:30 will be adding a required-to-transmit tone this summer, probably in June or July. Currently, no tone is required for transmitting. The repeater frequency is 146.700 Mhz (with a +0.6 Mhz offset) and a new tone of 88.5 Hz. You can add this tone now to your radio programming and still be able to get into the repeater, even though it’s not required yet.
