The Hortonville 2m 146.865 repeater is offline. The current repeater controller firmware has an anomaly that causes a raspy noise on UHF if someone is talking on the VHF at the same time the UHF is in use.   There is a firmware update that is supposed to cure this.  I plan to install the update this week.

We still have the unknown interference problem on the 2m repeater.  The interference only seems detectable by connecting to the antenna.  The interference is not detectable at ground level.  I will be working with the radio service company to use their service monitor to see what the interference looks like and try to get an idea of what might be causing it.  But, it could be most anything from something on the tower to a spur from an FM broadcast transmitter.  Meanwhile, the receiver sensitivity of the repeater is greatly limited.

N9QS – Rodney has a GMRS repeater that is available for everyone to use if you have a GMRS license. This is a linked GMRS repeater. 462.700mhz. Anyone can listen, but transmitting requires a GMRS License.
